A skiff of snow this morning. All gone tonight. Jim loaded the wagon with tobacco and started to Gretna. I hope he got there ok. Ben and Josie went to Jim Powers. Mrs Car did come with them home. They think now that they will go to Charlottsville in the morning.

Franklin is bad off with colde. Henry went to school to day.

Ben bought Edna a new pair of shoes today. Josie and I ironed some to day. I killed a chicken for dinner.

A beautiful day. Preaching at Strait Stone. We was all at home at dinner. Ben and family went to Jim Powers. They had plenty of company.

Jim roved a round all evening. I went to Marvins. Some of their children has very bad colds. Mr Owen went to meet his daughter at Long Island. He went on the buggy.

A beautiful day. We all staid at home until noon. Then Ben & family and I went to Jim Powers. They had company both olde and young. Acie and Hessie Anderson, George Blair, Charles Harvey, and Miss Virginia Moses; Ben and his crowd and I; Mr Walter Car, & Mr Jo Hobson.

I have not seen any of Marvins folks today. I miss them most (much) as I would my folks at home.

A beautiful day. Ben and family except Henry went to Mr Jim Powers and Rob Hubbards. Ben & Mr Mayhew & Richard Wooding went to Hubbards. Went to the fish trap but did not get any fish. They got home at dark.

I staid at home most of the day. I went to Marvins. They went to Kate Harveys. I went with them. Kate had company. Dr Wigginton and Pearl, Effie and Hellen Brumfield, Miss Virginia Moses, two of the Farmer children.

I come home and fed the chickens. Brought water and made coffee & baked bread.

A cool bad day. Not any thing was hurt by the colde last night.

Josie and Ben and the children went to Jim Powers this evening. Mrs Car started to Lynchburg this evening. Ben carried her to Long Island this evening. Ben & Josie went to Mr Dews this evening a little while. The preacher Mr Street staid at Marvins last night.

I went with Carrie and Marvin to Strait Stone this evening. Mr Padget preached. There was a good many to hear him. I was glad to go.

Jim staid a round here all day.
