Lee Brumfield and I went to the river. Lee caught one fish. I did not catch any thing. I was glad to go with him. I bought 10 pounds of sugar from Oscar Booker. I stopped at Mr Dillards while Lee & Dillard gathered some chinquapins.
Ben has gone hunting to night.
A good day. Very warm this evening. A thunder cloud now at 8 oclock. Ben plowed today. Jim plowed the garden and worked it with the hoe. Josie and I washed this morning. Josie got dinner. Carrie washed with their new washer. They are pleased with it.
Josie washed the dineing room floor be fore she went. Reese carried Edna and I to White Falls. I caught three fish. Reese caught one. There was at least a dozen people at the river. I guess all had a good time if they did not get many fish.
A good morning. Ben & Jim worked on the tobacco this morning then floored the cook room. Marvin went to preaching. Reese carried him then come home and carried his mother and all the children and I to Mr Johnsons mill. The children Edna and Hazel & Eva waded a bout in the river. I fished a little. Caught four.
The wind broke the shade trees.
