A good day. We all staid at home until after dinner, then Ben & Jim went sloes hunting. I went to Mr Edmons's. Mr. & Mrs. Peak was there. Miss Alice and Miss Willie Wooding come over there.

They had plenty of grapes at Edmons's.

Marvin and Carrie went to see Dr Wiggonton & Pearl this evening.

Rees & Smith & [?] and Emet Brumfield come here this evening.

Henry and Edna went to Sunday School to day. Marvin carried them.

Jim Brumfield went with Reese Smith home tonight to stay a little while.

A good day. The boys finished puttin the floors in the basement. They done a good job I think. Mr Dews come here today for Ben to help to cover the house that he lives in. Walter Owen was here today. He is hunting a home.

Josie done a big washing today. Josie and Mabel & Edna & Franklin and I went to Marvins today. Josie gathered peas for dinner tomorrow. They are the first that we have had. The snaps has dried up.

Josie made a lot of nice jellie yesterday. That was all the grapes that we have had to do anything with.

A good day. Had a sprinkle of rain this morning. John has bin here all day. Will stay tonight. Hugh Brumfield and Henry went to the mountain this morning to hunt grapes. Did not find many.

Josie and I got dinner. We eat late and did not get any supper.

I went to Marvins this evening. Some one gave his dog a dose this morning and she died. Ben & Marvin thought a heap of her. I would like to know who did it but never will I dont expect.

A good day. No rain today. The men folks worked on the barns. Jim helped Mr. Booker on his flues. Kate Harvey and Irvin and Bill come a little while. They got some grapes. Denia and Cordie Blair come to see us. Carrie and three of her children come. We let Edna go home with them. I was glad to see all of them. Wish they could come often. Kate brought me some snaps. Jim has some fine mellons now. Mabel has a bad colde. Hope she may get well soon. I have finished stringing snaps. 10 oclock at night.
