A good morning. Cloudy this evening and some hail. The men stripped tobacco most of the day. Shucked some corn just at night.

Josie and Henry went to the store this evening at Cedar Forest. The baby has bin very good for her all evening. The children has very bad coughs. The olde hog caught one of my chickens to day. Miss Carter taught school today to make up a lost day. Irvin Harvey got a phonagrapt from the Island today for Virginia Harvey. Hope she may be pleased with it.

Monday January 31, 1921

A good day. Very colde. Jim and Ben and Owen stripped tobacco. Josie got dinner. I washed some then went to Marvins. Marvin sent off his last tobacco to day.

Edna swept the floor in the room that we sleep in. Done a good job.

Edmons cowes come here today. One of them is here now.

Henry went to school to day.

Edna still has a cough.

A cloudy day. Ben & Jim stripped tobacco all day. Finished a cureing for Jim. Josie and I got dinner.

This evening Josie made starch and starched the clothes. Denia and Cordie Blair come this evening. I was glad that they come.

Marvin solde his last tobacco at Gretna. He was well pleased with the sale. Nat Wooding got two pounds of butter from here this evening.

A good day. Jim helped Mr Owen strip tobacco. Henry went to school. Edna and I staid with Mabel and Franklin. Franklin was sick all night and part of today. He is better tonight.

Ben and Josie come from Charlottsvill to day. They had a blow out that delayed them some. I am so glad that they got home as well as they did.

Carrie come a few minutes this evening. She is bad off with a colde. Jim and Ben has gone to the school house to night to a farmers meeting.

A cloudy day. Jim and Ben and Owen shucked some corn and toated stalk to the cows then stripped tobacco. Hattie washed some here today. Josie got dinner & supper.

Made a place for little chickens and mended some this evening. Josie went to Carries. I staid with the children. Annie and Ta??ie Doss come. Brought the suit case home. I have got a very bad colde. Hope it will be better soon.

I am so near a sleep that I cant write much.
