A good day. The men folks plowed this morning. This evening Mr Owen raked pea vines. Ben went to Mr Bailiss. Josie and I stripped a little tobacco. We got our dinner this morning before we went to the barn cooked snaps and baked bread.

Come home at twelve and made coffee.

In the evening the tobacco dried out so we could not tie it. I picked up some apples and gathered some snaps. We went to Carries and strung our snaps. Come home. Josie got supper. I fed the chickens. Henry and I fed the hogs. We had to shuck the corn then I churned.

Ben has just got back from Bailiss and eat his supper.

Cloudy today and some rain. Ben got up part of his pea hay and part got wet. We got dinner when we got breakfast thought we would strip tobacco. It was so dry that we could not handle it. Josie sewed some.

I dug some potatoes.

Reese and Henry helped me and we built a pig pen and got up the pigs and they got out.

Ben and Owen went a squirrel hunting. Killed four. Ben kept 2 and then would not skin them. So I did it.

Heard to day that Alma and Lonnie are sick. Had a letter from Mary Brumfield. They were well when she wrote. Hope that they may stay so.

A good day. we all stayed at home. I got dinner. We had turnip salit and butter beans.

Josie helped Ben move some tobacco while it was in order. This evening Marvin and family and Kate Harvey and Irvin Harvey come. Mr Dews and Owen and some of the children was here and played croquet.

Paul and Earl Bennett come. Paul will stay a while and strip tobacco. I hope that it may stay in order so he can handle it.

A good day. Ben and Owen hauled pea hay this morning and plowed this evening. Paul and Josie and I stripped tobacco all day. Little Henry and Beatrice Owen tied this evening. Mr Dews come and got some apples and brough us some corn.

Ben went to Strait Stone and carried 4 chickens and 2 doz eggs. Bough soap and oil.

To night Ben and Paul and Owen are at the barn putting tobacco in the pit.

A good day. Ben and Josie and I worked on tobacco this morning. Paul and Owen worked on the wheat land.

Rev. Paget and East come this evening selling Liberty Bonds. I let them have nearly all the money I had. I did not want to do it but did not know what to do.

Ben and Josie and Franklin went to |Jim Powers] this or is this Towers? evening. Ben bought some oats from Power and some wheat from Jr Starkey. Jim Power come up here this evening eat supper here. He got some rye
