A rainy day. We all staid at home all day. I read most of the day. It has cleared off tonight. Irvin Harvey and Reese Smith was here this evening a few minutes.

A cold windy day. Ben went to Glenland this morning to the meeting of the School Board. This evening he worked on Owens house. Jim Brumfield helped him today on the house. Josie and Virginia made some candy today. They got dinner. I worked some button holes in Hazel Smith's dresses and mended some things. Late this evening Edna and I went to Carries.

Virginia is here tonight.

Alma Bennett sent me a present today, a dress ready to wear. I am glad of it.

10 oclock and the wind is blowing hard and it is very cold.

A good day. Ben carried Nellie & Evylin to Gretna this morning. He got back home at 10:20 oclock. They have cut tobacco this evening.

Josie sewed today. She two gowns then gathered some snaps for dinner tomorrow.

Marvin finished cutting tobacco today.

I went to Marvins this evening. Carrie sent Henry some papers to read. He now has one reading. I am going to put out the light as he will have to work tomorrow. Will need all the sleep he can get.

I got a letter from Elsie East this evening. Was glad to hear from her.

Cloudy most of the day. Snow on the ground yet. Jim & Ben & Owen stripped tobacco all day. The children went to school.

Josie got dinner and supper.

I did not do any thing much all day. I got breakfast and milked the cows. Brought up the water for tonight. Got up the eggs and fed the calf and watered her.

I have read to night until some one ought to of made me go to bed.

We heard to day that Mildred Fergerson is very sick. I do hope she may get well soon.

A good day. Jim & Ben got up a little hay. The thrashing machin is at Marvins. I hope they can thrash in the morning. Josie thought she would wash to day but it was late and so hot that she did not. Mrs Kent come by this

evening. She had bin to Long Island. Tom Lays land was sold today.

I finished reading a book tha Alma Bennett lone me. Josie has commenced to read it. She is reading now.
