A very bad day. Hail & rain and sleet. The ice was so heavy that some trees broke. The olde cut paper here broke badly.

Jim and Ben stripped tobacco. Ben milked for me this morning. I was a fraid I might fall on the ice.

I got dinner and churned. Mr Sam Owens baby is very sick. Josie went up there this evening. I am sorry for them but cant help them. Marvin solde tobacco at Gretna today. Was well pleased. I am so glad. I have not seen any of Marvins people in some time. Hope the weather will soon be better so I can get a round.

Mabel has woke up. She gives her mother a hard time. I pittie Josie and the baby.

A clear day. Snow on the ground yet. We all was here at dinner. Jim went to Marvins this morning. Ben went to Owens late this evening. Owens baby is sick. Josie and I got dinner. We did not get any supper. I think now I will be so glad when I can go a round and not be colde. Mabel has woke up. She is one of the worst babys that I have ever seen.

I promised Ben 50 cts to carry the calf from the stable to the shop.

A clear colde day. The children went to school.

Jim and Ben was at Gretna. They staid all night at Chatham with Jims family. Come to Gretna and got breakfast and solde their tobacco & come home. They got home a bout dark.

Solde reasonably well I think.

Josie & I cut rags some today. Josie went to Marvins a little while this evening. Mabel was good to day for her to be.

Heard today that Mrs Jack Kellie was buried Saturday. I guess she will be very much missed. I found Henrys knife and 5 cts in the shucks. I have not tolde him yet.

Ben gave me a pair of overshoes to night.

Snowed a gain last night. This morning was very colde. Ben milked the cows for me and fed the calf. Jim and Ben stripped tobacco. Henry did not go to school. He made pathes a round to several places. I fed the chickens and brought some water. I have 18 little chickens for the hawk I am a fraid. We cooked dinner in the dining room by the fire place. Wood is scarce for the range.

The little baby has bin very cross. She has a colde. I hope she wont get sick and they can all keep well. I beg for strength and patience to stand what I have to. The children dont treat me as they should I dont think.
