Against none An Ordinance is submitted by the City Attorney entitled "An ordinance authorizing the mayor and Clerk to execute a contract with the Sunset Telephone & Telegraph Company to provide the City of Seattle with a Fire Alarm System and apparatus" passed by the following vote: in Favor of same Calligan, Furth, Harrington, Hall and Young. Against none An Ordinance is submitted by the Clerk entitled "A special ordinance appropriating money to pay audited bills" which is passed by the following vote: in Favor of same Calligan, Furth, Harrington, Hall and Young. Against none Ordered that Council Adjourn until Monday July 26 at 8 o'clock pm H L Yesler, mayor attest W R Forrest, clerk Jul 26 1886 Be it remembered that on this 26th day of July 1886 the Common Council of the City of Seattle meets in its Council Chamber pursuant to adjournment. The following officers are present to wit: His Honor the Mayor H L Yesler and Councilmen R H Calligan, J Furth, G W Hall, T W Lake and J J Post. Whereupon the following proceedings are had to wit: And now the Council proceeds to examine and equalize the assessment roll for the year 1886 in accordance with law. Ordered that the following changes be made in said roll H H Pease reduced on personal property from $625. to $25 account mortgage

51 COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEATTLE Jul 26 1886 James McNaught reduced on improvements on Lot 1 B 19 Boren's Addition from $18,000 to $15,000 D Horton & Co reduced on improvements on Lot 5 Block 31 C D Borens Addition from $18,000.00 to $15,000.00 H L Yesler reduced on improvements on Block 33 C D Berens Addition from $16,000.00 to $13,000.00 The Clerk is directed to notify H L Yesler, G Poncin, Safe Deposit Co and Samuel Kenny to appear before the Council and show cause why the assessed valuation of their property should not be raised. Ordered that Council adjourn until tomorrow at 7:30 PM H L Yesler, mayor Attest W R Forrest, clerk Jul 27 1886 Be it remembered that on this 27th day of July 1886 the Common Council of the City of Seattle meets in its Council Chamber pursuant to adjournment . The Following officers are present to wit: Mayor H L Yesler and Councilmen Calligan, Furth, Hall,Harrington and Lake Whereupon the Council proceeds to examine and equalize the Assessment Roll for the year 1886 in accordance with law.
