97 COMMON COUNCIL OF THECITY OF SEATTLE Oct 5 1886 other nomination on motion the Clerk is instructed to cast the ballot of the Council for said A H Manning which being done, the said Manning declared duly elected a police officer of the City of Seattle Petitions etc Petition of I N Bigelow et al for a plank crossing onPine Street West side of 3rd Street Refrred to Street Commitee Petition of I N Bigelow et al for a Street Light corner of 3d and Pine Street Referred to Street Light Commitee Committee Reports Received FromCommittee on Street Lights to whom was referred the petitionfo O J Carr et al praying the Council to order 32 candle power lamps placed on all street lamps and also on all extensions ordered during the year reproting that after careful consideration they find that upon the faithful performance of the obligation of the Seattle Electric Light Co in the City is sufficient for any and all purpose and therefore recommend that the petition be not granted. On motion of Councilman Lake the report of the Committee is adopted by a unanimous vote. Licenses referred Wm Gross, Geo Delfil, amd Martin Lange Ordered that the Council do now adjourn W H Shoudy mayor attest W R Forrest , clerk
