5 PM spok [SPOKE] the Clinton. Got sum [SOME] old canvass [CANVAS].
At night shorted [SHORTENED] sail as usual. Latter
part strong breezes. Steering NE 1/2 N all sail.
Clinton in company. Nothing more worth of remark.
