In company with the Reaper. Middle tok [TOOK] in sail. Latter part maid [MADE] all sail. Steering NE by E. At 7 AM raised a dead Sperm whale. Louard [LOWERED] our boat and went to him. Hea [HE] proved to bea [BE] good. Took him alongside and cut him in and set the tryworks to going. Nothing more worth of remark.
