in Ship's duty Saw Nothing but finbacks		E

Strong winds from the West Ship headding
N.N.West at 8. A.M. Saw a School of
Sperm Whales Loard the Boats and
Chast them the Larbord [?] Boat went
on to one 80. Bbl whale wood and
Blackskin and the Boatseerer mist him
with 2. iorns Middle and Latter part
Light winds with a heavy Swell at
3. Oclock P. M. Saw a School of Sperm
Whales Chased them the Starbord Boat
went a Long Side of one 80. Bbl whale
and the Boatsteerer Darted 2. iorns and
mist him a Good Chance as ever was
we Saw 40. or 50. Large Whales this Day		East
at sundown took in Sail So Ends Flat	19.50	1.00

of Sperm and Chase them the Starbord
Boat went a Longside of one of them and
Darted 2. irons and mist him with a
Good Chance a 80. Bbl whale turn		West
