This day had a calms. The larboard watch employd
in setting up the rigging. Saw the Falklands about
50 miles distance. So ends.

Saturday Dec 28
This day had a strong breeze. The larboard watch
employd in makeing a log line and the starboard
watch employd in makeing mats for the boats and
bradeing senate. So ends this day.

This day had a fresh breeze. Saw a sail beam to the
windward. Fine weather all this day. Watches employd
in ship duty. So ends this day.

Monday Dec 30
This day had a calm. Saw 1 sail. Watches employd
in ships duty. In the after noon we killed a hog.
Fine weather all this day. About 1 oclock in the after
noon we sounded and got soundig of Patagonia. So ends.

Tuesday Dec 31
This day had a calm and fine weather. All hands employd
all day in sewing in reef points and bending on
a new fore topsail and mainsail. About 2 oclock in the
after noon we sounding and got sounding. So ends.

Wnesday January 1 1845
This day New Years. The larboard watch employd
in breaking [out?] the main hatch for water and Molasses
and rice etc. Light wind and fine weather. And so ends.
