Fine weather all this day. About 1 oclock in the after
noon we sounded and got soundig of Patagonia. So ends.

This day had a calm and fine weather. All hands employd
all day in sewing in reef points and bending on
a new fore topsail and mainsail. About 2 oclock in the
after noon we sounding and got sounding. So ends.

Wnesday January 1 1845
This day New Years. The larboard watch employd
in breaking [out?] the main hatch for water and Molasses
and rice etc. Light wind and fine weather. And so ends.
