GALENA ANTI-SLAVERY ASSOCIATION.

MR. EDITOR: — The following Resolutions were passed and adopted unanimously by the Galena Anti-Slavery Association:

Resolved, That we regard the action of Mr. Frederick Douglass, in supporting the Republilican candidates for the Presidency, as of vital importance, and as characteristic of his true anti-slavery principles, the philanthropic character in regard to mankind in general, and as an anti-slavery champion, of most inconceivable benefit to his people in particular.

Resolved, That a copy of these proceedings be sent to his paper for publication.

Resolved, That the Secretary be empowered to draw on the treasury and subscribe for the Frederick Douglass' Paper, in order to have portions of it read at every meeting of the Association.
