Rochester. May 27th 1862

Dear Sir.

I return as requested the receipt for twenty four dollars and ninety seven cents from Mrs Anna H. Richardson by your hands and with it my best thanks for this and the many other similar kind offices you have done for me. I shall write to Mrs Richardson in the course of a day or two and will inform her of the safe arrival of the subscriptions which she has been so good as to collect for me.
