The feavour water
Take 4 gallons of strong Ale & i peck of Poppeys pick'd soe putt m into a Limbeck well pasted, n still off 5 pints w th a gentle fire, & what runs aft keep for oth uses, n take 4 gallons more of stong Ale, & 4 ounces of cardish seeds well bruised, soe draw of 5 pints as before, n take 6 ounces of Snake roobes, 4 ounces of Marigold Flowers newly gather'd, & 20 greene walnuts sliced, & put m into e two strong waters togeth , n putt m into a wide mouth steeping pott or glasse & putt e 4 mentioned ingredients into it & lett it stand a forthnight well stopped & a day before you still it, putt half an ounce of London trecle, n still it in a cold still well pasted, an old body may take 3 spoonfulls of this wat before e fitt comes for 3 or 4 fitts togeth you may ^give a child of 2 or 3 years old 2 spoonfulls of e weak wat & i for a child of a yeares old or lesse;

To Make sweat & good for any distemp s e Red Poud to be given to
Take Angelico, Bittanie, Cardish, Draggons Sage, Rewe, Rosemary, Tormentile w th e roots, wormwood of each one handfull, putt m into a well glazed pott, w th 3 pints of Whitewine, cover it & stir it well once a day, 9 days togeth , then take a pound of the best Bolearmoneck powd d & searched putt it into a puter dish & strain e wine from e hearbe into a e powd till it is thicke like white pott then set it in a sunny window till it be stiff then strain in more of the wine till it is like whitepott again & when that is stiff doo so again till e poud have drunk up the wine, att the last straining of the wine put in w th it Confectio Alcarines, Venus Treacle, Methredate, & Diaseo =rdium of each half an ounce, of Bezor one grain & of the fine powd of the black topps of Malecrabbes claws one Ounce, mix all these togeth when it is dry as before & as stiff as past

My Lady Greshames Almond pudding
Take a pound of Beaf suet shred small & sif sifted puff to this quantity of suet & pound of Jordan Almonds blanched & finely beaten in a morter w some rosewat for fear they oyle then take 1 pound of whitebread finely grated & sifted mix all these togeth then put to it 3 pints of Creame, & half an ounce of nutmeg sliced half an ounce of mace a few cloves a little cinnamon & a race of ging strain out the spice & put to yo creame apound and a half or 3 quarters of fine sugar dissolve yo Sugar & a litle salt, boile a litle Amber grese in it w yo at first, w tis almost cold then take y yolkes of 12 eggs & 4 of the whites, them make a hole in y middle of yo Almonds bread and suet, then strain in y creame blood warme besure to wipe yo gubts(?) very well on both sides & w you have filled yo gubts(?) besure to tye yo ends very well &
