Dear Judge
Several letters from you, Huntington
having been here will give you a better
answer toward that they contain than
I can write. But about election of Directors
of SPRR, We must name those directors
and they must be ours and no one
else. There is too much at Stake
to do otherwise. About that Claim
of Siby et al against the Yuba RR
Ralston told me that you had
said that we would assume
the Claim. He gave me the agreement ^between S et al + YRR
just before I came out there. I took
it thinking we might use it
in urging Yuba Co to pay over
the bonds. I told Ralston we
would do the best we could to
get the Bonds. and did not wish
the Claim urged upon us for settlement
until we had had time to get the Bonds.
