United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America. Local Union No. 339.

Fort Worth, Texas, Sept 3 1902

To the Honorable Mayor, and City Council.

Gentlemen -

I hereby appeal to you for relief from an imposition being imposed on me by my neighbor, N. T. Hinkley. He has hauled about a car load of rocks and cinders, and put same in street gutter in front of his property, virtually filling up the gutter from curb line toward center of street. thereby stoping the natural course of storm water, and causing same to run over my property thereby doing me an injustice and also damage. Please give this your earliest attention, before I am compelled to ask for damage Respectfully & c J.K.Wilson 1201 Allen Ave City

Mr John F.Lehane,Alderman 4th.Ward. C i t y.

Dear Sir:

I beg to most respectfully call your attention to the fearful condition of Lipscomb street, between Broadway and Daggett Avenue. Thirteen years ago this street was improved with gravel since which time not a thing has ever been done to keep it in proper condition. It is the natural water course for the drainage of all the territory South and West of it. The street is now almost impassible and being in front of one of our handsome school buildings is all the more reason why it should be repaired. I urgently invite you to drive over it during the next few days and see for yourself the fearful condition it is in. All who use this street constantly will appreciate your aldermanic influence in having it put in passable and decent condition. Will you give it your attention?.

Most Respectfully, James L Cooper MD
