Dear Edith: Am taking a few moments of precious time so must be brief. All arrangements to go to the electrical picnic Saturday. The store is closed and one of the boys gave the girls and I each a ticket so it won't cost us much to go. Am sorry the girls can't come. Didn't say anything to them as I know they would be disappointed. Have been looking for a house, but haven't found what I want and can

afford so far. Maude had an operation on her nose Tuesday. Got along alright. Didn't hear from her yesterday, but no news is good news. Heard from home & they are all well. Papa says he is so well. Edward is growing & so well. Papa gave him a hammer plane, saw & level and says it is surprising what he can do with them. Must close and get busy. Am writing this at the store. Will try to get down Saturday week if it is all o.k. Say Dedie, don't send me any more butter till I tell you. Had 2 or 3 pds of the other left as everyone was stocked up it seems. Miss Matthews was married last night. Tell you more when I see you. Kiss the kids for us. With love, Nettie
