Cleveland, O. Saturday Eve

My dear sweet sister: Oh Edith, how can I ever tell you of the joy that the telegram gave us this evening, only a couple of hours ago. It has taken the greatest burden off of our minds that ever was. I have looked everyday this week, every time the postman would come, I was at the door, but, I presume, this letter will be a puzzle, but hope you get to the rest of 5 pages. Just begin going backwards

alas! No letter was, [ ?], handed to me. I have grieved myself nearly sick and near gave up looking for it till yesterday. Then, I told Chas I had give up ever receiving it. now, I would perhaps show my appreciation better than I can express it on paper. Chas had just got home from work and we were talking how we were going to arrange for tonight for we had to leave home. We knew, although, Mrs Shire had not said so yet.
