Our cards just started to come out today, (each teacher makes out a separate one for you). I got my English grade which was "I." "Ain't Nature Grand." We're reading "Henry Esmond" now, are you? We've already had the "Spectator" &" Sir Roger de Coverly Papers."

Our biology is no such snap as yours. We've had to dissect & draw the grasshopper, then whole body, each leg, each wing, antennae, eyes, mouth parts, mandibles, maxillae, etc., head, thorax & abdomen and then cut him open and draw his "innards" as they lie, some work. We took the bee, likewise, which was still worse and now we've spent the last month, 4 wks of 4 periods each, on the crayfish.

That's our most intensive work, of course. We've done lots of others too. We are now studying "vertebrate" animals in class and have just started on birds. We have to learn to recognize all the common birds around us. Have you had to learn all the, [[struck text]:classes]], phyla of animal kingdoms - Protozoa, Porifera, Coelenterata, Platyhelmentes, [Platyhelminthes], [Nemithelimals], Grochelmintes, Echinoderma, Malluscoiska, Annulata, Arthopoda, Mollusca & cordata, with their classes and subclasses? If you don't think that's work, just look in some zoology for the classification of Echniderma, Arthopoda or Mollusca. For instance, if

My gym teacher gave me a lot of sweet little exercises to practice at home. One of them is to pick up erasers, pencils, pens, buttons, et cetera with my stocking feet. I look keen (in a bathing suit, he, he).

Oh, by the way, First Presby. Endeavor won the undefeated championship in basketball from all the city church leagues for the second time this year and we're going to give them a banquet during the Easter Week. I won't be here but, I guess they can get along without the president, for once.
