She is reading a book now of a party who
made the trip from N.Y City to San Francisco by
motor last summer & she wants me to read it to, [too], so
suppose will hafto, [have to].

Well, by the way, it looks now John, Ava, Sarah,
& I are, (just us 4, [[inserted above]: and no more,]]) planning on making
the trip this summer, sometime. Don't know
just when, after Helen graduates in June,
so if we do come, suppose Sarah & I will
stay with you & John & Ava at Harolds.
The talk now is a 6 wks trip, 2 going, 2
coming, 2 with you, if we don't get throwed
out before. If so, we will have more time on
the road. Now, will you have room enough
for us if we get there, but don't forget this
is only talk so far & don't look for us until
we hit the trail & you know we're on the way. Oh yes,
I forgot we might come to an earthquake & not be
able to detour around it & that wouldn't be so good,
haftod [have to], turn around & come back home.

Well Edith, don't let this work on your nerves to, [too], mutc, [much].
All are well, as usual. Mary is in Miama, [Miami], Fla.
on a short vacation & coming back by way of N.Y.
