217 Lpinwood St Cleveland, Ohio June 7th

Dear Edith:

As I have a few moments of leisure, after our supper is over, and Charles has gone to bed, thought I would serateh off a few lines to you, for no telling when I will have the opportunity again for some time, as my work will be getting much more then it as ever been before. Though I won't mind that if everything goes well & the Lord spares me, whom I put my trust in. No doubt you have heard of what is going to happen, through Jennie as I told her of if several months ago. Dear Edith, I hope you will not have any little lots for two or three years so that you can enjoy yourself

as I don't think you are dearly fond of children. But if you want one or two or a half or so you had better begin soon, as, you are not sweet sixteen anymore. We all felt very sorry for poor William Brown, but though,t at the time, we heard of his going away. It was useless as he has been failing for several years. Enota is certainly left with her hands full, but suppose her folks will help her. Dear Edith, you mentioned on your letter of Anehie having so much spare time, that is not so. Since we have built out new home, he has kept himself very busy, at the Eugene House & also on his day's off making window sereens & storm porches for the front & back doors, and seeding our yard, tinkering here & there. He keeps himself busy. I wished you could see our home. We like it so much, everything is so convenient.

Suppose Arehie has written you about the plans of the house. It is far more satisfactory then paying rent, and hope some day it will be all our own. We could sell it most any time and make more then it cost us. Dear Edith, you asked on your letter if we were still living together. We certainly are and get along very nicely. Mother's health is very much improved. She is now taking up Christian, [sciances?]. We have been doing all of our house work including washing & ironing. Don't know how Ma will get along now, as I am not feeling at all well and expect be in bed soon, but hope ot will not last long. Arehie goes on his vacation the 15th of June & is very, [undecided?], what he will do. I want him to go to the country for a few days and take

the boy along with him, as I think it would be the best thing for Arehie. Wished you could see our boy,. He is so big & healthy, [saney?]. He spends most of his time outdoors. We had his curls cut off about three weeks ago. I felt like crying when he came home from the hair dresser. The first words he said when he stepped on the porch, pulled off his cap "Now I am a big man just like my pa." He had six lovely light curls. Mary does not like him without his curls. He has lost their baby look. Emily has just completed her second term at hIgh school today. Dead Edith must stop my scribbling, as my side bothers me a great deal, & my pen is miserable & the writer is on the, [brim?]. So good bye, hoping to hear from you soon & that your health is much better. Please excure all mistakes.

This is my last letter for some time. We all join in sending our love & best wishes to you. Would love to have a picture of yourself & hubby. Your loving sister,

Sarah Hartzell

Please write soon, as I would like to hear from you before I am sick. I wrote to Aunt Mary, a letter, some time ago, but received no answer. Wonder if she got on the old man.
