The papers of Gabriel García Márquez, Colombian-born Nobel Prize–winning author, journalist, screenwriter, and key figure in Latin American history and politics, consist of manuscript drafts of published and unpublished works, research material, photograph albums, scrapbooks, correspondence, clippings, notebooks, screenplays, printed material, and ephemera. The online archive is comprised of approximately 25,000 pages from the physical archive, and was made possible by a grant from the Council on Library and Information Resources (CLIR). The center also gratefully acknowledges the cooperation of the family of Gabriel García Márquez.
