Since the foregoing agreeable to a former promise I
have been obligd to draw on you of this date in favour of the
Hon[oura]ble Thomas Flucker Esq. No 11 for £250 St[erlin]g. which you
will please to honour & charge to my Account______

I now inclose you Harrison Gray Esq's Bill on Jasper
Mauduit Esq.
of this date No 38 in my favour for £1500 Stg.
when paid you will please to Credit my Account therefor.
I rely that I shall soon receive my account, I am quite in
the dark as to the State of it. I am much in haste, must
Finish & am. ~

Inclos'd is the Letter of Advice for Bruces Bill of £200 which
was omitted in that Letter & which of course you will present with
the Bill ~

I have been waiting some time for oyl, as I had a promise
from Folger, but find he has placed his Connections otherways, which
I am vastly vexed at, and with great reason, he is not yet come
up, when I see him am invariably determin'd on the Settlement
of all Concerns between us and will either buy his part or sell
my part of the Ship for I [Swear?] I will not be impos'd on any
Longer, I cant help being in Temper after such treatment. this
dissapointment has laid me under the necessity of filling up w[i]th
Tarr & Turpentine which I have this day purchasd & shall dispatch
him as fast as possible, I will acquaint you the Event of my Con=
ference with Folger. you shall act your pleasure as to holding a
Concern with T. F. but if he shews any inclination to take my
part which must be the Cash down, I will then immediately
sett up one and take Marshall out, for he shall never be in want
of a Vessell while I can Support one

This Morning Mr David McLeod returnd here by
way of west Indias, I am obligd to you for pay[in]g his ransom
