I recd. your favr. {per} Mr. Bowler, I'll endeavour to
get Mr. Vans's affair Settled, Mr. Wendell has not yet comply'd with
his proposal, but expecting he will by return of this post do not send
you his Bond now, nor will I deliver it to him should he send the money
till I have your approbation for it which youl please to signyfy {per}
first opportunity mean time I am

since which Corn is unexpectedly fallen to 2/8 & dull at that owing to the
Arrival of a greater number of Vessells then was expected, among which
are several ownd in Maryland & else where to the Southward. I give you

that may [probably] turn out to your disadvantage, should it
take a favourable turn you may depend on being duly advisd thereof by

Dear Sir

The foregoing is Copy of Capt. Hezekiah Welches Letter of
13th. Ulto. came to hand last night, the Contents will doubtless give you
uneasiness, as do assure you it does me to find you meet with such ungreatfull
usage, as the Brigg may be soon expected shall be glad of
your directions for the disposal of the Molasses, which if good beleive
will be pretty quick at 9/ Old Tenor {per} Gallon & will be necessary for me
to dispose of as much of it as will pay the Hire of the Vessell, & also the
Duty if not paid at Cape Fear, unless you should think it for your
Interest to put me in Cash some other way & store your Molasses for
a better market in which I am at a Loss to advise, large Quantitys
having been Stored for 18 months & much of it still on hand, the favr.
of an answer {per} return of this post will much oblige
