Below is copy of mine of 19th Currt. to which having
no answer & Capt. Casey being arriv'd & on charge, have venturd to dispose of
60 Tons of your wood this morning into Messrs. Green & Boyston at £5 Sterling
PTon to be paid in three months, or if (after they have taken up some notes they
had given for Bills of Exchange) they should before that time receive any
more money they will pay it as they receive it & will not fail compleating the
whole when one which you may rely on (being as handwall as any Gentlemen in
town. Since the arrival of your wood which was last Thursday I have done all
I could to Sell it for the Cash, but had no offer for the Cargo at more then
£4. 10/-, so hope what I have done will be Satisfactory, especially as I can fur
nish you with the Cash immediately allowing the Interest, we shall begin
to deliver tomorrow morning & shall make all the dispatch possible & shall be
glad of your directions & return of this post for further proceedings, in
mean time I am
