This acknowledges the receipt of your
Favour 24th Sept & Captain Scott, I am sorry to hear that John Mysie
Bill for L100___remitted you some time past is noted for non=
Acceptance, but cannot but hope it will be paid not withstand-
ing, as he is a good man; for tho' I shall be safe in case of a Pro-
test, yet I choose rather Bills I remitt(?) you from time to time
should be paid in season____Have now remitted you three
small Newfd Land Bills payable in London amount L88.18.8__
(?) which expect will be duely honored & when paid please to
pass to me Credit___the four articles wrote for Sir Capt
Marshall, to which a few articles were added and Sir Capt
Segie, who sailed soon after, shall expect at first Spring
Ships agreeable to order. I am with due respect_____

of your favor of Capt Scott 26 Sept. & note the Contents. I can't
but say I was something disappointed in not finding an Invoice
inclosed for the Goos I had wrote for, but the Reasons you
have given herefor, as well as for deferring it till the the Spring
Ships are upon sailing. is quite satisfactory & agreeable,
especially as you promise they shall be shipt and finish
Spring.
