Convolvulus scammonia is a herbaceous vine in the bindweed family Convolvulaceae. "Scammonium" is the dried juice of the living root; "Scammoniae Resina" is extracted from the dried root with alcohol. It's a violent gastrointestinal irritant, and kills both roundworm and tapeworm.
