To Cure an Ugne. 15 Mar 1737/8

Take of powdered Chamomile Flowers two drams, of powdered
Myrh 25 grains of powdered Rock Allium 18 grains make them
up with some Syrrup, into an Electuary to be divided in six
doses, one of which to be taken every three hours, with four
Spoonfull of the following mixture.
Salt of Wormwod two Drams, Juice of Lemons three Ounces. Milk Water & simple Cinnamon Water of each four
Ounces, so much Syrrup as to make it agreable. B. B M.D.

For Cure of a Bite by a Mad Dog

Take of the poweder of ground oils colourd Liver wort,
half Dram: powder of black pepper, ten grains, mix
them together, and take it, four mornings successively,
in a Draft of warm milk. - Doctor Meed' Receit.

to Cure a thrush in the mouth W Snithing

Take as much Borax as will lay on a sixpence
& put it into four spoonfulls of Rosewater. and dab
the nipple with it made as warm as milk, every time
before the Child sucks, & again after it has done.
I believe it may be used with a feather to a Childs
mouth that do's not suck.
