For a Sore Throat

Take 12 ounces of saltpeter poudered vere fine. Put
it into a cruseble. Set it in a chafing dish of coals.
When it is melted put in by litle & litle a tow peney
wait of powder bleu a tow peney wait of sulpher,
keep sturing it with a hot wier then put in tow
peney wait more of sulpher to clear it. Then heat
a a bellmetle scilet and pour it into it. Let it
stand to be cold. So keep it for use; take a bit
as big as a peea and swalow your spitle.
