render a change evidently necessary; and in that case
it shall be the duty of the attending physician to [inform]
the consulted physician as soon as possible
4thly that the consulted physician in no sense consider
the person, who may be the subject of consultation,
as his own [Pt] and under his direction, and therefore
do not prescribe for him or her but when the attending
physician shall be present.
5thly that in all cases however when sudden and
unexpected emergencies shall render immediate
[assistance] necessary which the consulting physician
shall not be at hand: the foregoing obligation shall
be [desspensed] with, yet the consulting physician shall
be informed thereof as soon as convenient.
6thly that in all cases where any deformations may
arise relative to the method of cure, which cannot
otherwise be determined, one or more of the society
be called in for a decision. If any difficulty arise [about]
a choice; it shall be refered to and determined by
the patient or friends. Postponed for future [consults]
