at that time when mr Longworth of Southhold came to Easthampton to fetch the Indians up the Island: at an Evening I being at my fathers house there came in [severall Indians and they sayd they was a going to york: now for the governor had sent for them by mr Longworth: and the indians said {that} Longworth would a had them gone away privatly but they said they had a friend they must aquaint with it: so when the indians told father of it it he said he did not know what to think of it and askt {said} Indians where Longworth was and would have them goe and fetch Longworth or {said} letter: and so hanabel Indian went and fetcht Longworth to my father's hous: and when he came father tould him what the Indians said how that the governor had sent for them by him: and father would have him let me read the writeing: and he tould father that I might read the writeing if I pleasd and as Longworth gave me {the} writing he tould me that {the} governors hand wasnt to it but it was all wone for this Kephphandam was the next to the governor for he was the choise in {the} counsell and also Longworth sayd that {the} governor was to come and meet the Indians upon the side of the hemsted plaine for to hear their greivenses and he said the Indians would be righted without any cost or charge for he said that was a cort without any cost or charge and likewise {the} said Longworth told us that Kipphandam was a grate man with the governor for he had lent him two thousand pound and therfor you may think he is no small man with the governor this above sayd is the truth as witnes my hand this 20 day of may 1703

This 20th day of May 1703 the within sayd Seth Parsons come before Mr Josiah Hobarts one of her Majestys Justices of the peace for the County of Suffolke & made oath to the truth of what is within written
