{Sir}

As I find you have settled with the Steward, I conclude you are in good forwardness to exhibit to the Committee of the Corporation the state of the College Treasury -- The Meeting of the Provincial Congress next week will doubtless involve you in so much public business, as will render it difficult to attend to College affairs. This consideration induces me to remind you that we are waiting for your call. Will it not be best, if possible, that the Committee should meet you next Monday or Tuesday, & settle Accompts? We who are at Cambridge with to have the business finish'd, & will attend at the shortest notice. If the weather yesterday had not been foul, I should have waited on you myself; but now take the first opportunity of writing to urge this matter of so great importance to the College. -- Pray excuse the importunity of one who is with the greatest Respect

{Sir} your very {humble} {Servant}

Samuel Langdon
