At a Meeting of the {Commissioners} Boston 5th. {October} 1753

1. Voted That Mr. Hawley be desired to to return to Onoquoga & continue his endeavours to instruct & Gospelize the Indians there & to found & establish a Mission among them, & that he be allow'd to take a Companion with him who may be helpful to him in his temporal Affairs as well as instructing the Indians & that there be allow'd at the rate of £125[?] L.M. {per} annum for their support & encouragment to commence upon Mr. Hawley's having provided a Companion, it being then expected that they should set out as soon as may be & that in the mean time his former Allowance be continued & that he be desired to advise with Mr. Edwards & Mr. Woodbridge in procuring such a Companion.

3. That Mr. Ashley & his Wife be desired to continue in the Service & that they be allow'd £40 [?] [S?].M. for the years Service which will expire 22d. May next.

2. That Forty pounds be advanc'd to Mr. Hawley in part of the foregoing Allowance he to be accountable

And in asmuch as this Mission calls for such large disbursements further Voted. That the foregoing Votes be transmitted to the {Reverend} President of Harvard College with the earnest desire of the {Commissioners} that the Corporation of {said} College would afford such Assistance as they shall think proper towards the Charge; the {Commissioners} having engag'd in the Business in full dependence upon Assistance from their Stock.
