Charlevoix who passed through this country
has given some slight discreption of different
parts which will afford a pretty good idea
of it he entered it by Lake Erie the country
upon which tho not included in it yet is
so near as to deserve out attention here

Of the tract on the very southern point
of that lake he speaks as follows "I
"coasted along a charming country hid at
"times by very disagreable prospects which
"however are of no great extent Wherever
"I went ashore I was quite enchanted by
"the beauty and variety of a landscape which
