Your Aunt has had the misfortune of
losing 9sic) the beautiful work which
you sent her. What a pity. how mcuh
pleasure should I have taken in
looking at the improvements & progress
of one I love so much. Your uncle too
has been as mortified at your
not sending the pretty landscape
which you promis'd him, I suppose
before now you are quite a proficient
in that pretty accomplishment. I was
much surpris'd to hear that you were
at Bethlehem, as I had never heard
that you intended going there. Your
Uncle has just told Grandmama that
you are to be here in a few months,
how happy does the thought make
me, that we are again to be reunited
in so short a time. Alicia & I have
just return'd from making a little
excursion to Wandoe [Wandoe] we
staid about a week. I think it has
been of much service to my health
which has been much impair'd for
