MMF letter #5 Bethlehem Sept 9th 1791

I write my dear Aunt a few lines to inform her of
my arrival, I am highly delighted with the place and I hope to make a
great improvement Master William looks finely he took your letter with
great pleasure, I staid [sic] but a few minutes at Nazarth as the day
was for advanc'd and we wished to reach Bethlehem before night[.]
I was present at the celebration of a Wedding last night it really a very
solemn ceremony we had very good Music. Mr Greene gave me the things for
william which I brought with me. I think B--- a far prettier place than N.
the next time I write I will give you some account of our rambles for I
expect to have a great many before then I must prepare to go into the
school to curl up my hair put on my cap & go to work so my good Aunt
will permit me to bid her Adieu as I am in haste
xxx believe me yours
