Plum Cake

4 Eggs 4 Cups Flour 1 1/2 cup molasses 1 cup
sugar 1 cup Butter 1 gill of milk 1 Tea
Spoon full saleratus 2 lbs of Raisins choped
1/2 pound currents 2 oz of cloves. This will
make six pounds when Baked

To Make Mead

To five Gollons of water take six pounds
of Honey boil it as long as the skim Rises
then put Cloves allspice & ginger one oz of each
tied in a linnin bag, which boil in the liquid
one hour. it must then be taken off & sett to
cool when cold put 1 pint of [East?] let it
remain three days in the cask after it has done
[working?] it will be fit for Bottling

Squash pudding

To a common sized pudding dish of squash
add six eggs - 3 milk biscuit 1/4 lb of Butter
1/2 pint of milk mace & sugar to the taste
