Dearest friend Miriam:

Well, I spent five days altogether at the
Federal Court. I think that perhaps today my
attorney Bill O'Halloran will get his copy of
the Transcript of that hearing.

The next step is : on or about Oct. 18,
Bill must file his BRIEF with this same Court
and my guess is we may get a decision on our
petition in late Nov. or Dec.................

I expect to see Bill within a week or ten
days and that will give me a chance to get his
thoughts on the hearing -- I know he scored a
lot of good points -- I want his feelings RE:
the points that the opposition scored.........

Brother Francis visited last Sunday and he
told me his wife Rita phoned you during the
hearing. As you probably know, their boy Kerry,
whom you've met is at Fort Dix, New Jersey for
his basic training -- he certainly is a solid ,
level-headed young man -- and you can bet he is
going to go on in life and be a great credit to
his town Framingham.

Will your own schedule remain as full as
ever now that we approach Fall & Winter ( we
surely have some beautiful Indian Summer days
coming ) and if you have intentions of visiting
in Vermont this winter don't forget to take
along a pair of non-skid shoes. tee hee .....

Will catch you again soon
with Very Much Love,

your always
John
