My dear Madam:
I have your letter of January 5, relative to #5661-E,
Russel McWilliams.
Our records reveal that McWilliams has been a student
in the Stateville Correspondence School for some time, completing
one course in English, and working on a more advanced course in
the same subject at the present time. Aside from this I know of
no other course of study in which he is interested.
McWilliams has been assigned to the greenhouse for the
greater part of his time here and, I believe, is very much in-
terested in his work.
Books of an educational nature may be sent to him at
any time, providing they are mailed direct from the publisher.
Books addressed to him, in my care, will be delivered to hime with-
out delay.
If I can be of further assistance please feel free to
call on me.
Very sincerely yours,
Joseph E. Ragen,
Warden
