Harold Smith,
Box 43,
Norfolk, Mass.

Dear Harold Smith:

Your letter to Dr. Van Waters has come
to her office while sheis away on a ten day trip.
I am sure you have done nothing to offend her in
any way, and the only reason she has not answered
any of your letters is because she has been so terribly
busy. For your information, I think the particular
letter about which you are worrying was sent to
Professor Sayre. Just as soon as she returns I
believe she will write to you, and in the meantime,
please do your best and keep up your courage!

Sincerely,

Secretary to
Miriam Van Waters, Superintendent.
