Dear Friend,
I meant to write you
before now, as I promised to,
but something always seemed
to turn up just as I would
plan to pen a few lines.
Needless to say I am
serenely happy at home with
my mother and brother and I
hope that in the future I
may be able to forget that
I was separated from them.
It was a nightmare for us
all and it is easier to think
of more pleasant things.
