Re: Germaine Deraney

Just after the basketball game last evening - whil much
commotion was going on in the Gym re: sneakers and cigarettes -
Germaine walked out through the Front Office with the Hodder
girls.

Miss Markey called me and I called to her to come back - when
I saw she wouldn't I w ent after her but she flew through the
tall grass. I returned to institution and notified Local and
State Police.

Mr. Rao returned from Hodder and along with Miss Devine we went
in the general direction she had taken. We found her once more
but she ran and we could not catch her. I did not get near
enough to tell her that she might see the Board and how foolish
she was being - she just kept on running and said she "didn't
believe anyone up there."

Miss Snow, Mr. Fox, Mrs. Watson, Miss Devine, Mr. Rao, Miss
Keefe and Miss M. Lee all prowled the area with no success.
