Status: Needs Review

To: Mr. Edward F. Hughes - 2 - May 1, 1951

I believe Lucille could become rehabilitated
if the right position offered. However, I think you can
understand the reluctance of the Board of Parole to release
her to any circumstances where she might run in danger of
contact with those who use drugs in any form whatsoever,
namely hospitals. Of course if a position were found on
the clerical side or in managing a linent closet, the Board
of Parole might accept that.

If you had anything lined up the best thing to
do would be to go and talk to one of the members of the
Board of Parole in the State House. They are always there
on Wednesdays.

Yours very truly,

Miriam Van Waters,
Superintendent
