Jesus Said "I am the way, the truth and the life." John 14:6
6/28/53
Dear Dr. V. Waters:
I am reporting Mrs Giodano: to you.
This morning at 6 AM. Sunday she came to the door leading to the hospital + unlocked it. At the time she had just unlocked, all the Annex girls;
I asked her, if I might go thru, as I was going to Holy Communion + Mass the first time, in almost a year.
She said, definitely not + locked the door, in my face.
When, I did get out, I went to her, in the front office + had a heated argument.
I broke down, + went hysterical I was unable to go then. I spoke to Rev Father [Auley?] or tried to, I guess I was to upset, to talk coherently. The hospital

has had to get the sedative several times to-day.
I am taking medicine for my nerves, previous to this episode.
This s what, I call mentalcruelty, by a Catholic officer.
I am a Grade, girl living on the hospital corridor. Why all the Annex girls unlocked + I could not get out to church? Plain spite + meaness.
It took nearly, a yer, to get the grace, to receive Communion + if I don't get out of here, I will [?] have a breakdown.
I don't think, Mrs Giordano is fit to be an officer here. Father [Auley?] is to see me to-morrow, but please believe me, this has made me sick + hurt me deeply. RespectfullyHelen Hennessey
P.S. She also lied about the time element (I do have a clock.)
