December 11 -1950

Dear Dr. Van

My h [me?] Saturday when he
came to see me, that he had an appointment to see
you tomorrow Tuesday.

Dr. Van Waters I am very worried because I feel
my husband is very discouraged. Would you please
explain to him when you see him that I don't have
toserve my whole five years here at the Reformatory-
that I am due to see the Parole Board in fourteen
months, December, 1951 as stated on my card. I know
he knows this but he just doesn't seem To realize it.
It is hard for me to realize it also. Also that my
Two five year charges run concurrently expiring
October 16 -1955. My husband felt it was foolish for us to plan
our future at home now as he feels it will be five
years before I am home again To him and the children:
I tried to tell him thiw was not so I will be home much sooner to him + our children.
Please help me to straighten his mind on this matter of my time here.

I appreciate very much how kind everyone have
is To me and all I am learning, especially all
the lovely things I have learned to make for my
husband and children. These things I have learned
will help me so very much when I go home, also
my School Review, and Typing, also my sTitching in The
Shirt Room. I realize how selfish and wilful I have been
and this experience has brought me out of it very quickly.
