Dear Miss Thornton,

I was so pleased with your
card and to learn how you are
feeling and that you like the
place. I hope you have cool breezes
there. This past week has been quite
uncomfortable here in Newton.

I found myself inside Fannie
Farmerie store here at the corner - about
to have a little box of candies
sent to you when I suddenly realized
that sweets might not be the
easiest things for you to digest. So
