Dear Dr. Van Waters,

Please excuse the
fact that I am writing to you in pencil,
but as you know my fingers are not en-
tirely healed and I have not been able to
master a pen as yet.

I was talking to Miss Ernest the
other day. She, as well as the other officers,
have been trying to help me master my
feelings; in order to prevent me from
