This Indenture made this Seven Seventh day of October in the year of Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty four Between James Bryson and Robert Swann overseers of the poor of the township of Liberty in the County Union and State of Indiana of the one part and, William Logan of the County of Franklin and township of Jan [pele?] and state Aforesaid of the other parts Witnesseth that the said overseers have and by these presents do place and bind out Sarah Randels, a poor girl aged nine years three months and twenty eight Days, daughter of Phebe Randels, of said town ship who is unable to support her said child as the said Samuel Randels the father of the said child has absented himself from these parts with out leaving anything to support the said child as an apprentice to the said William Logan to be taught the art trade mystery and occupation of serving and spin ning and housekeeping and to serve the said Logan for the term of eight years eight months and two days from the date of these presents that is to say untill she the sh said papprentice shall arrive to and be of the age of eighteen years which the said overseers are informed and belive will happen on the ninth day of June in the year one thousand eight hundred and forty three if the said Sarah Randels so long lives And the said overseers do by these presents give unto him the said William Logan BOBBY, THIS LOOKS LIKE LAGAN HERE; LET'S CHECK WITH AN EXPERT DLS all the authority power and right to and over the said Sarah Randels and her services during said term which by the laws of this state a master hath to and over a lawfully indentured apprentice. And the said William Logan on his parts in consideration thereof doth promis covenant
